Portvaktsstugan Coffee House is close to our home. It is in Filmstaden [Movie Town] in Solna, the place where Ingmar Bergman, Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman among other famous Swedish movie stars worked. The Portvaktsstugan [The Gate Keeper Cabin] is a wonderfully decorated and peaceful place.
You get your tea or coffee in vintage pots and drink out of flowery vintage cups. You can order waffles with salty or sweet topping and for your coffe you can pick seven different cookies. That is a typical Swedish "vintage tradition" (and very trendy right now!) to serve seven kinds of cookies at a tea party (kafferep).
My sister-in-law Ester stayed at our place for two week and we and the kids wnt to have waffles and cookies on a Saturday. After that we went second hand shopping. It was a good day.
