Finishing what I once started: a men's shirt remade into a feminine puffy sleeved shirt dress that I started remaking almost a year ago but never completed. Made one before, I really do love the model and design, very comfy to wear and good looking (if I may say it myself:). Wore it at Jack Dalton Orchestra's first concert ever in Pietarsaari last Friday. Here are some details:
I had to take in pretty much on the shoulders and in the back, not that pleased with the result, but I had to do it in only one hour before leaving for practice with the Daltons.
I might sew one line more just for the esthetics's.
I did not have the time to sew the hem of the shirt at home so I did the finishing touches by hand in the hotel room before the concert.I kind of promised the shirt away to my friend K, but now want it myself... Sorry, K...;)

Snyggt resultat! Jag har ett besläktat projekt på gång. Hittade en skjorta i snygg färg men trist modell i min egen garderob, planerar att göra den lite mer figursydd och göra ärmarna lite mer puffiga. I våras sydde jag om en loppisskjorta på liknande sätt (bild finns här: http://www.sysidan.se/albums/viewpic.htm?ID=27013), fast den här gången har jag tänkt mig något diskretare ärmar. :)
Haha, jag har något vagt minne av att jag har provat den där skjortan en gång... Du behöver inte ha dåligt samvete (men skjortan blev fin så jag hade gärna använt den!), jag lovar jag hör av mig när jag är i desperat behov av nya kläder - då får du sy en till mig! :) Hur gick spelningen i Jeppis förresten? Ha det gott, kramar från katten
