Instead of feathers on my branches I made tassels out of paper. I learnt about the tassel phenomenon from Maria Montazami. I am not a fan of hers, but I like her for giving me this idea!
It's the short edge of an A4 sized paper, cut with a herb scissors, and rolled up into a neat tassel. Use coloured paper for extra Easter-y effect.
