One of the most beautifully structured and colored material. We make fire with birch and the bark is necessary for starting. One day wee E came running into the kitchen with a piece of birch bark in his hand, I wrapped it around a drinking glass and got a nice candle holder. The Advent candlestick I made two years ago with the help of my father.
I simply punched two holes in the piece of bark and tied it around the glass with some thread.
It is the second Sunday of Advent today. I wish you all a peaceful week.
We had wee M's christening yesterday, before that A LOT of preparation, now I will take it very peacefully today and some days ahead. No worries though, lots of posts are on their way!
