it's getting colder outside

I love wool blankets, and the above is gorgeous! Can be found at Fine Little Day shop. The blanket below is a recent thrift find. I like it very much.

I've been rummaging through second hand shops for a good wool sweater or cardigan, but I have not found any I really like yet. The quest goes on. Maybe I should refashion a wool blanket. Any good patterns?

How do you stay warm on cool autumn days?

strike a pose

I admire models who knows how to bring out the best in the garments they are wearing. It is not easy.

lace stones

I love crochet covered stones (created by Resurrection Fern, here is a tutorial from Purl Bee), and this is my take on the project. Flat decoration stones covered in a lace curtain and spray painted.

guest appearance on television

Last autumn I was filmed for Himlaliv, a Finish-Swedish television series that portays a person in each program. That program will be broadcasted in October this year.

A few weeks ago I had the opportunty to compose and sing a song toghether with Daniel Jakobsson for the Himlaliv episode about him. Above is a picture from when we were in the YLE make up room. Thanks to sweet K for making us beautiful and being the photographer.

By the way, I am wearing one of my greatest second hand finds in the pic. A 70's or 80's denim dress. I love it!

cloud pillow

Pillow case made from second hand materials. I sketched a cloud onto paper and cut it out. Sewed strips of fabric together, ironed and sewed decoration seams. The I cut the fabric into a cloud with the help of the paper cloud + I also made an inner cushion in plain white fabric.

Sew right sides of the white fabric together,  leave an opening to be able to turn the project right soide out. Fill it up with cotton and close the opening.

Sew a zipper to the bottom of the quilted pieces. Sew quilted facric right sides together. Remember to leave the zipper open to be able to turn the pillow case right side out.

dress me up in second hand

Another one of my favourite cardigans; Oravais jersey cardigan, from 60's or 70's. I found this one on the floor in a barn. My friends were cleaning out a house and the barn. We had a look into one room. And under all wood material and dust on the floor lay this beauty, and I could have it!

The black dress is thrifted and the shoes are Vans.
